L’Atelier Nawbar was founded in 1891, in Beirut, Lebanon, as a jewelry brand dedicated to creating intricate and delicate designs that are worn as an expression of love, beauty, heritage and spirit. Four generations later, this legacy of designing jewelry that has meaning beyond what the eye meets continues to shine, withstanding the test of time.
Our Heritage
A Legacy since 1891
L’Atelier Nawbar’s journey began four generations ago, when the family’s great-grandfather embarked on a journey into the world of jewelry. Over the years, the brand continued to evolve under the guidance of the sisters’ father, who started working at the tender age of nineteen, carrying forward the family legacy alongside his own father.
This tradition of jewelry craftsmanship was then passed down to his daughters, Tania and Dima — the creative minds behind L’Atelier Nawbar today.
The brand’s unwavering dedication to artisanal craftsmanship is inextricably linked with Beirut’s storied heritage as a haven for intricate handiwork. In a world progressively overshadowed by machinery, L’Atelier Nawbar sustains the very essence of skilled craftsmanship. For over 120 years, L’Atelier Nawbar has perfected the art of craftsmanship and tradition while staying relevant: a house dedicated to the testimony of modern tributes to heritage. Every piece is drawn, cast, set, engraved and finished by hand at the workbench in Beirut, then travels to the women and men who will make it their own.
Our diamonds and gemstones are conflict-free, and we work with Single Mine Origin (SMO) gold — fully traceable to a single mine — alongside remodelling, repurposing and the sourcing of used gold, so that what we make today respects what came before it.
